What is it?
A reporting and insight module that allows users to visually explore creative performance data and surface actionable insights and trends. Current exploratory features include custom-value sorting, filtering, searching. The initial release of Creative Explorer will support Facebook and Instagram and allow users to see their creative performance (aggregated by unique combination of asset and copy) across their image, video and carousel ad types over the last 18 months.
What is new?
- Creative Tiles
You can see your creative assets and full copy with your performance data. Hover over to see the full asset, and for videos, it will play the clip. The performance data displays the Spend, ROAS, CPA and CTA.
- Performance data vs account averages
Each performance metric will be compared to your account average. We will look at all of the ad delivery over the define timeframe and calculate the account's average. Hover over to see what the value is.
You can search across your tiles by copy, ad name or campaign name.
Refine your results by filtering by tags, performance data or other attributes.
- Data Range
Choose over what time range you want to aggregate your data on (current limit is 18 months).
You can sort your tiles by any of the 4 key performance metrics, ascending or descending.
- View toggle on the top right
Creative Explorer will preserve all of your configurations, search, filters, date ranges, and display your creative tiles in a scatter plot view.
- Axis values
You can change the values of each axis. The current options are Spend, CTR, CPA and ROAS.
- Hover card
To surface clear information, you can hover over any point and view the image, play the video or navigate through each of the carousel assets.
- Average lines
Creative Explorer plots your performance across quadrants using your account averages.
What does a tile represent?
A tile is a unique combination of your asset (image, video) and copy. This means that if you have 4 creatives with the same image and copy, but different landing pages and CTA, they will be aggregated into a single tile.
How far back does the data go?
Creative Explorer stores the last 18 months of performance data.
What Creative Types does this support?
Our first version of Creative Explorer supports single images, single videos and carousel. Collections, DPAs will be supported in the next release.
Does this include ads I've created outside of the New Engen Platform?
Yes, Creative Explorer supports ads that were created outside of the New Engen platform. All creative performance data will display in Creative Explorer regardless of where the ad was created and published.
How are the average lines calculated?
The average lines are the entire accounts average over the time frame defined.
